Visa Streams & Eligibility Requirements

2. Direct Entry (DE) Stream

This stream is for applicants who have never worked in Australia or have minimal work experience in the country.

  • Age Requirement: Under 45 years (exemptions apply).
  • English Requirement: Must demonstrate Competent English (exemptions apply).
  • Nomination Requirement: The employer’s TRT nomination must be approved by the Minister.
  • Skills Requirement: Must demonstrate necessary skills relevant to the nominated position (if required by the Minister).
  • Work Experience: Must have at least three years of employment in the nominated occupation (exemptions apply).

3. Labour Agreement Stream

This stream is for applicants whose employers have a Labour Agreement with the Australian Government.

  • Age Requirement: Under 45 years (exemptions apply).
  • Nomination Requirement: The employer’s TRT nomination must be approved by the Minister.
  • Skills Requirement: Must demonstrate necessary skills relevant to the nominated position (if required by the Minister).
  • Work Experience: Must have at least three years of employment in the nominated occupation (exemptions apply).
