The Skilled Independent Subclass 190 visa is designed for skilled visa applicants who have obtained an Expression of Interest (EOI) through SkillSelect to apply for this visa.
This visa is points tested and you need to be nominated by a State or Territory government.
You may be either in or outside of Australia when you apply for this visa.
To apply for a Skilled Independent Subclass 190 visa you must:
- Nominate an occupation must be on the relevant list of eligible skilled occupations.
- Have a relevant skills assessment for your nominated occupation
- Be aged less than 45 at the time you apply
- Have achieved the score specified in your EOI based on factors in the points test
- Demonstrate competent English as your minimum qualification for the English language requirement.
- Be nominated by an Australian State or Territory government agency.
